Interactive Circuit Storybook
Log in to saveKids wire simple switches and circuits into a storybook so that flipping a page or closing a switch changes which ending or plot twist plays out. It merges circuitry and storytelling into a genuinely interactive book classmates will want to read again and again.

Setup
Place common or recycled supplies for Interactive Circuit Storybook on one work surface and choose a safe area for the test. Read the four activity directions aloud; drawings, paper models, and household substitutes may replace specialized materials, and no digital tool is required.
Activity
- Plan a story with a branching plot point and predict which simple circuit or switch could control which ending lights up.
- Build the circuit into the storybook pages using copper tape, batteries, and switches at the branch point.
- Test each story path, then redesign a connection when a page's circuit doesn't light the correct ending or short-circuits.
- Read the interactive story aloud to the class, letting listeners choose the switch that decides the ending.
Done when: The group produces the Interactive Circuit Storybook solution, completes the described test, makes the revision called for by the evidence, and supports its final explanation with an observed or measured result.
Materials
cardstock, copper conductive tape, coin cell batteries, small LEDs, brass fasteners for switches, markers
