Setup

Gather toy cars, magnets, cardboard track and clear a small work surface. Read the Magnet Train Station mission aloud, then place the supplies where children can choose and compare them safely.

Activity

  1. Predict which magnet arrangement will push or pull the train cars together along the track.
  2. Build a track with magnetically coupled cars ready to carry cargo between stations.
  3. Test the train with different loads and discover a heavy car won't connect or derails, then adjust the magnet strength or placement.
  4. Run a full delivery demonstration for waiting passengers and cargo at every station.

Done when: Children complete the core mission and a full delivery demonstration for waiting passengers and cargo at every station.
