Setup
Gather colored water, droppers, clear cups and clear a small work surface. Read the Color-Mixing Potion Shop mission aloud, then place the supplies where children can choose and compare them safely.
Activity
- Look at a potion order card requesting a specific color, like purple or orange, and predict which two colors might combine to make it.
- Measure and mix small amounts of colored water or paint using droppers or spoons to fill the order.
- Compare the mixed potion to the order card, discovering it came out too dark, then add a bit more water or a lighter color to fix the shade.
- Deliver the finished potion to the customer and explain which colors and amounts were used to make it.
